About the Role
The HR Officer role exists to operationalise Zeraki’s people strategy by ensuring disciplined execution and day-to-day HR support across the business, coordinating recruitment and onboarding, supporting performance and talent processes, maintaining employee records and HR systems, managing core employee lifecycle processes, supporting employee relations, and coordinating learning and engagement initiatives. The HR Officer works closely with employees and managers to ensure HR processes are responsive, consistent, compliant and aligned with business needs.
Operating in a fast-growing environment, the HR Officer is expected to combine strong execution with sound judgement, attention to detail and a people-centred approach, while maintaining the confidentiality, documentation discipline and service standards required of the HR function.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
The HR Officer will support the end-to-end delivery of HR services across:
HR operations & employee lifecycle: managing employee documentation, personnel records, HRIS updates, onboarding, probation, confirmation, employee movements, leave, attendance, benefits, payroll inputs and offboarding.
Talent acquisition: coordinating recruitment from workforce request and job advertising through sourcing, screening, interviews, assessments, offers and onboarding; maintaining candidate pipelines and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
Performance & talent management: coordinating performance review cycles, maintaining performance records, supporting Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), talent reviews, succession planning, career development and internal mobility processes. Coordinating learning needs assessments, training programmes, onboarding learning journeys, employee development initiatives and maintaining learning and certification records.
Employee relations & compliance: supporting employee queries, grievances, disciplinary processes and investigations; maintaining employee relations records and ensuring consistent application of HR policies and employment requirements.
Employee experience & engagement: coordinating employee engagement, recognition, wellbeing, culture, internal communication and employee feedback initiatives.
HR reporting & continuous improvement: maintaining HR trackers and dashboards, preparing HR reports, ensuring data accuracy and supporting improvements to HR processes, systems, policies and SOPs.
Candidate Profile
Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development or a related discipline.
CHRP qualification or progress toward CHRP is an added advantage.
IHRM membership or eligibility for membership is desirable.
Experience & Skills
1–2 years of progressive HR experience, preferably with exposure to more than one area of HR.
Practical experience in areas such as recruitment, HR operations, performance management, employee relations, learning and development or employee engagement.
Experience coordinating HR processes or projects from start to finish.
Working knowledge of HR policies, practices and applicable employment legislation.
Experience working with HRIS, applicant tracking systems or other HR technology is an advantage.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Ability to work effectively with employees and managers across different levels of the organization.

Learning agility: Curiosity and willingness to develop across different areas of HR rather than being limited to one specialization.
Employee service orientation: Commitment to providing responsive, professional and people-centered HR support.
Data & technology orientation: Ability to use HR systems, trackers and data to support accurate reporting and better HR decisions.
Integrity & confidentiality: High ethical standards and ability to handle sensitive employee and organizational information appropriately.
